Developing our future – Spur School MTB League

Spur School MTB Leagure – St Stithians – an event which develops the future

The biggest of the Spur School MTB League events took place at St Stithians on Saturday August 20, 2016. More than 20 High Schools from all corners of Gauteng were there to participate. Across the age groups of U16 through to U19, the competition was stiff, and the yellow jersey the prized possession. If ever there is a sport to nurture and grow in the South African cycling community it is the Spur School MTB League.

Challenge to High Schools and Headmasters

As passionate stakeholders in the cycling community, we believe that the Spur School MTB League presents a compelling challenge to all South African high schools and headmasters, to create cycling teams, enter local leagues and make this sporting discipline a nationally recognised sport.
